Tracy

DJ Tracy found the Rave in SF back in 92 after her early years growing up near Chico California, an agricultural community in the shadow of Mt. Shasta. Early encounters with parties like "A Rave called Sharon" left her convinced there was a viable future developing in the underground. Upon connecting with Mark Ameba in early 93 she returned to SF to learn to spin records on his turntables with his encouragement. Inspired by DJ's like Garth and Jeno (primary forces behind the full moon parties in those days) her rapidly developing talent found a home in the SF dance community. Early trips to Memphis in 94 and the UK in 95 helped to give her credentials as an International DJ.

Noted for her hard tribal house sound, Tracy has a unique flavor that embodies the best of what has become known as "the San Francisco Sound". When asked why she does it she says " This music dramatically changed my life for the better when I discovered it, so now it is my turn to give back something to the scene that changed me and hopefully inspire others the same way I have been.

Now a monthly resident at "RHYTHM" in SF, and a weekly resident at "GROOVOLOGY" in Santa Rosa, Tracy likes to make time to cook and read when she's not on a plane to LA or the east coast where she is rapidly establishing her reputation as SF's premiere female DJ.

For DJ bookings Tracy can be reached at 415-739-9153.

The Digital Be-In is produced by Verbum, Inc. in conjunction with The Unity Foundation
