HOW TO EXPERIENCE THE REAL-TIME BE-IN

Each of the four major areas of the Be-In, the BRIDGE, the MAIN STAGE, the DIGITAL FRONTIER and the VISIONARY'S SOAPBOX can be experienced during the evening. You can access everything from the BRIDGE. The primary reportage from the event is via "living web pages" whereby our netcast reporters upload pictures, captions and brief reports to our pages. You will see the latest report on each page - BUT ONLY IF YOU ALWAYS HIT "RELOAD PAGE" on your browser. As each report is uploaded, the previous report is moved into that area's TIME CAPSULE (button at bottom of page). There you will see the chronological history of the event. Click on the thumbnail picture or title to see the full picture and report (if available).

AUDIO
We are using Real Audio for a live audio feed all evening. If you already have a Real Audio player, click on the REAL AUDIO link on the BRIDGE CONTROL PANEL to receive our stream. If not, download the software. We are offering two audio streams, the primary live stream from the BRIDGE, and a slightly delayed stream from the VISIONARY'S SOAPBOX.

VIDEO
For video, we are using CU-SeeMe. If you click on the LIVE VIDEO link on the BRIDGE CONTROL PANEL, you will go to the MEDIACAST site where the info and software is available.

AFTER 1-1-96
The REAL-TIME BE-IN will maintain the complete archive of the evening, which will include additional material that will be added later. We are planning to develop the REAL-TIME BE-IN further, not only as a framework to relay future live events, but as an ongoing on-line environment.

ABOUT THE MIND MELD
The other side of the Be-In website is where you will find the HISTORY of the Be-In and participate in the ongoing evolution of the event and the ideas that surround it. We will be adding more to the MIND MELD on a regular basis, as will our visitors, so please return often.
