Marc Hershon, our anchor for the 8th Digital Be-In, reappears this year with on-camera newbie Rebecca Eisenberg. Rebecca writes about media, culture, politics and technology for a variety of magazines and webzines, including The Netly News, On the Issues Progressive Women's Quarterly, and Wired. Marc returns from a short haitus in LA LA land where he's been producing a show about game shows. Yikes! Welcome back to the Bay Area, Marc! Join them on the live video side of our site this evening.

Marc: The Be-In is already bigger and louder than last year, and we haven't even let anybody in yet. But this time I'll actually be able to hear the people I'm interviewing - since I'm in a private interview booth instead of up on the bridge. |

Rebecca: I'm excited about the theme this year, which is addressing an issue whose time has come. I am also thrilled that visionaries like Allen Cohen, who has made such breakthroughs in the goals of connecting people and working towards positive change, are joining this very different generation this evening.

You'll be hearing both of them a bit later as they stroll around the venue, or capture an interesting personage for interrogation in our padded interview den. |
