A few words to describe tonight -- loud, unique, wild, and very, very opposite. I say opposite because this was almost the exact opposite of what I expected. In my mind I saw little stations set up with somebody behind them to answer questions, and more business-like people walking around. I had to laugh at myself when I walked in . . . |

If I hadn't seen anything before, I saw it all tonight. There was a mini lazer show, poetry, and a man (or woman, who could tell?) dressed as the Cheshire Cat, and more. I had a chance to speak briefly with mayor Willy Brown (nice guy, by the way, good breath), and he nicely summed up the night as the world of technology and the San Fransico flair of bringing people together. I spent a few minutes out of the night trying to figure out what most of this stuff had to do with computers. I came to the answer -- most of it doesn't, but everything just sort of fits. I would have to describe tonight as a rave for people who are computer nerds at heart. |
