Jerry Brown takes a moment to speak with Netcast reporter Rebecca Eisenberg

      I had the honor of speaking with Former Governor Jerry Brown for a few minutes in the interview den backstage at the Digital Be-In. Former Governor Brown spoke with excitement about his organization, We the People, which is located geographically in Oakland, California, and on the World Wide Web at <http://www.wtf.org>. Through We the People, Brown hopes to get the word out on the net about how to organize to create positive change on a grassroots level.

     We the People is dedicated to political reform and social justice. Over the past year, the organization has brought together notable philosophers, artists and activists from all over the world in order to compare notes on how to solve similar problems that strike different countries world wide.

     WTP's primary focus this year is the green plan -- to create a plan of sustainability for Oakland, emphasizing social and environmental justice, and to rally the troops on the ground level to make change a reality, not just a dream.
