The Be-In website is a project of Verbum, Inc. Our goal for this site is to expand the annual live event into a fully developed, cyberspace environment. We welcome ideas for the production and sponsorship of an immersive online Be-In that captures and ext
ends the cultural (artistic,technical,intellectual, psychological, spiritual) heritage of the Be-In.
We invite you to visit our interactive Be-In channel where you can participate in dialogues with Be-In gurus and help carry the wave of the 60s/90s counterculture into cyberspace.
- Mind Meld hosts several forums where we consider the ideas and ideals of the original Be-In and bring them into the third millennium.
- Cause/Effect is an arena where Be-In campaigns, activities and issues are highlighted, including news and links to direct action.
- The Netcast section is the place to be for live Be-In events.
It also contains archival coverage of the Be-In 8 (one of the first large events to be netcast live) and a link to the Avatar Teleport, which takes visitors into our ongoing virtual worlds habitats.
- The History section includes archives of every Digital Be-In, the Tokyo Digital Be-In in 1995, and Verbum events.
