The Be-In is a series of events inspired by the original Human Be-In held January 14, 1967 in San Francisco. Produced by Verbum, the Digital Be-In has been held each January in San Francisco since 1988. Originally celebrated as a gathering of artists and hackers comprising the "underground" digital media scene, the event has in recent years grown into a public event with sponsors such as AT&T and Microsoft. This website was initiated as part of the Eighth Annual Be-In, and will continue to evolve as a cyberspace extension of this fun and influential event. Welcome!
