The Be-In started in the minds of several people living in the San Francisco Bay area at the end of 1966. The original Human Be-In was held in Golden Gate Park on January 14, 1967. Something happened. The "counterculture" came together. A kind of magic emerged. And we are still trying to understand it.

In addition to the San Francisco Digital Be-In, the first Be-In in Japan was held in Tokyo in February, 1995, and others are being planned in cities around the world.
