The first Verbum party for contributors and featured artists in the Verbum Journal of Personal Computer Aesthetics was held in 1988 in a San Francisco hotel suite during Macworld Expo. Todd Rundgren also held his first Macworld party in his new SF flat. In March 1988, Verbum produced the "Imagine Exhibit of Personal Computer Art" for an Apple offsite conference on imaging, and, with the sponsorship of Adobe, Supermac and others, brought the Imagine Exhibit to The Computer Museum in Boston, with an opening reception bash during the August Macworld Expo conference. The evolving Imagine Exhibit was also mounted in San Diego and in abbreviated form in Washington DC. In 1989, Imagine Tokyo was held, showcasing the early Japanese desktop pioneers along with Verbum's evolving international collection of digital fine art.
